About Navjeevan Andh Apang Kalyan Mandal

Navjeevan Andh Apang Kalyan Mandal established its Blind Handicapped Training Centre and Hostel in 1992 at Ambegaon Budruk, Pune. In 1996-97, it received a government grant, but due to space constraints, additional flats were leased in Yevalewadi, Kondhwa, increasing student capacity from 30 to 75. While the institution initially received a three-year grant, it has since operated without government funding, relying on self-financing and donations to cover student expenses.

Navjeevan Andha Apang Kalyan Mandal operates a Blind Handicapped Training Centre and Hostel in Pune, providing vocational training and essential facilities to visually impaired individuals. Though government approval covers only 30 students, the institution supports 75 students through donations, offering free education, meals, accommodation, and a ₹200 monthly stipend. Training includes basic computer skills (requiring JAWS software) and acupressure massage, both government-approved six-month courses with a 97-98% success rate.
